Writing Table
Honduras Mahogany with Ebony and pewter
56"l X 24"d X 30"h
This table was inspired by a writing table designed by Harvey Ellis for Gustav Stickley in 1903. It was this piece that started me on the course of developing a less flamboyant style of inlay using molten pewter in abstract floral designs. Other notable features are the "freestanding", secondary vertical in each leg assembly and the wide, one-piece top. The use of 24 to 48 inch wood is common in my furniture.
